Motorcyclist Killed in Bradenton Crash
The accident happened along U.S. 41 at 28th Avenue West Wednesday evening.

BRADENTON, FL — A 25-year-old Palmetto man is dead following a Wednesday evening crash on U.S. 41 at 28th Avenue West.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, motorcyclist Kristopher Lee Tice was heading south on U.S. 41 in the left lane nearing 28th Avenue West around 6:15 p.m. At that time, a Dodge driven by Marvin Jose Palacios, 58, of Bradenton was stopped facing east on 28th Avenue West for a stop sign.
Troopers say Palacios drove across the southbound lanes of U.S. 41 into the median, failing to observe the oncoming motorcycle.

Tice, a highway patrol report said, was “traveling at a speed greater than the posted speed limit” at the time.
The front of Tice’s Suzuki struck the left rear side of Palacios’ Dodge, the report said.

Tice died as a result of the crash. Palacios was not injured.
No charges have been announced at this time.
