American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds will go toward roadway improvement in local neighborhoods and 32 roadways.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — Eight major roadway corridors will be resurfaced in Hillsborough County with the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, a news release said.

The funds will go toward resurfacing eighty-nine neighborhood roads, and repairs on 32 county roadways. Officials predict the resurfacing and repair work will improve about 285 lane miles of Hillsborough County roadway and increase safety and mobility across the county.

Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners approved a roadway resurfacing project list during Wednesday’s county commissioners meeting that included projects from Keystone to Wimauma and from Town ‘N Country to Thonotosassa.
