8 Condos Damaged In 2-Alarm Brandon Fire

An early Tuesday morning two-alarm fire left eight homes damaged in The Hamptons condominium complex.

BRANDON, FL — Hillsborough County Fire Rescue is investigating an early Tuesday morning blaze that left eight homes in The Hamptons condominium complex damaged.

According to the agency, fire crews were called to the 500 block of Golden Raintree Place around 2:10 a.m. May 9. When they arrived, they found a two-story condo building ablaze with heavy smoke and flames coming through the roof.

The building was evacuated and a second alarm called due to heavy fire and smoke, an email from the agency said.

It took crews an estimated 30 minutes to bring the fire under control.

No injuries were reported. Authorities say eight condominiums were damaged, but an estimate is not yet available.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No further information is available at this time.
