The Armwood High School football team is coached by Sean Callahan, who on Sept. 21 recognized his 200th victory with the Hawks. As noted in a Tampa Bay Times report, the "milestone victory comes on technical terms rather than official." This summer, the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) stripped the team's 2011 state title, and 25 wins over a two-season span, because of ineligible players.
Hawks fans are wearing shirts this year that say, "We're Still Here," as testament to the team's resolve to show that they remain a powerhouse on solid merits despite the FHSAA ruling.
