Attack On Elderly Brandon Woman: 2nd Arrest Made

A woman stands accused of driving the car that followed an elderly Brandon woman home on Aug. 21.

BRANDON, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has announced a second arrest in connection with an Aug. 21 armed robbery. According to the agency, Angela Roseboro, 25, drove the Toyota that followed the elderly victim home from a Walmart. Once there, a passenger in the vehicle got out and robbed the 86-year-old woman at gunpoint.

Deputies say Roseboro, a Tampa resident, now faces armed robbery charges. Roseboro is the girlfriend of Marcus Hunt, 28, who was brought into custody on Aug. 22. Hunt was charged with armed robbery and for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The robbery that led to the arrests of Roseboro and Hunt began to unfold around 12:25 p.m. Aug. 21. The elderly victim had just purchased groceries at the 11110 Causeway Blvd. Walmart and was loading up her purchases at that time. Once finished, the woman got into her vehicle and drove to her home in Brandon.

The woman, deputies say, was unaware that she was being watched by people inside a dark gray Toyota Corolla. She also did not realize those same people followed her to her home and parked in a nearby driveway.

Once in the woman’s neighborhood, deputies say, a man got out of the passenger side of the Corolla, walked up to the woman and pointed a silver semi-automatic weapon at her while she was unloading her groceries. The man then snatched the woman’s purse, got back into the car and took off, an email from the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies say the purse was later found in a trash can at the Git-N-Go at 7802 Rideout Road.
