Brandon Mall Shooting Suspect Arrested: Hillsborough County Sheriff
A victim was injured Friday during an argument in a shooting outside the Brandon Westfield Mall. Authorities arrested the suspect Saturday.

BRANDON, FL — Deputies arrested the suspect accused of shooting a man he got into an argument with outside the Brandon Westfield Mall, a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office news release said.
Quran Deandre Johnson, 19, faces charges of attempted second-degree murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and simple battery, according to deputies.
Deputies said they saw the accused shooter, Quran Deandre Johnson, driving a stolen vehicle and pulled him over Saturday. They then arrested him.

People inside the mall heard a gunshot Friday afternoon just before 4:13 p.m., deputies said.
Many shoppers ran for cover because it had sounded like the gunshots had come from inside the mall, deputies said.

The mall was then placed on a brief lockdown.
Johnson and a man he knew began their argument inside the mall, and then took it outside the entrance of the food court when Johnson is accused of shooting the man.
The victim took himself to a local hospital where medical staff said he had non-life-threatening injuries, deputies said.
