'Dedicated, Hard-Working Student': Hillsborough Teen A Star Student

Patch and T-Mobile are partnering to celebrate local "Star Students" who succeed in Florida classrooms and their communities.

VALRICO, FLORIDA — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Taylor is a dedicated and hard-working student. She is in the International Baccalaureate Program at Strawberry Crest High School and has a cumulative district GPA of 6.70. (Her) Class Rank 795 (is) out of 14,827 in Hillsborough County (and she's in the) 95th percentile. She is an IB Ambassador and also an Interact Ambassador. Has been a member of FBLA for 3 years. (She's) also a member of the Spanish Honor Society.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

She really enjoys volunteering and helping other people.
