Ring it the old days with a Cracker Country look at the "sights, sounds and smells" of an old-fashioned, 19th century Christmas. Participate in hand laundry and churning butter in recognition that despite the holidays — both then and now — daily chores must be done. Witness the differences between 19th century and 21st century traditions through "hands-on historical intepretations, carols, traditional decorations and more."
Cracker Country is a rural Florida living history museum at the Florida State Fairgrounds. Founded to preserve Florida's rural heritage, the museum re-creates an 1890's rural Florida town with its collection of 13 original buildings dating back from 1870-1912.
