Family Left Homeless After Fire Breaks Out In Brandon House

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue fought a fire at a house on Brandon Park Circle in Brandon on Wednesday afternoon.

BRANDON, FL — Hillsborough County Fire Rescue fought a fire at a house on Brandon Park Circle in Brandon on Wednesday afternoon.

The Emergency Dispatch Center received a 911 call at 3:41 p.m. reporting the fire.

The first arriving engine confirmed fire and heavy smoke coming from the garage. Firefighters extended firehose into the garage to battle the blaze that was discovered in the home's utility room, dousing it within minutes and keeping it contained to the room of origin.

There were no occupants inside the home at the time of the fire. The Hillsborough County Fire Investigations Unit is investigating the cause of the fire.

The American Red Cross has been called to assist the family that has been displaced from their home.
