Fatal Car Crash Claims Life of Plant City Teen Not Wearing Seat Belt

Zacahary A. Tredway, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene after his car struck a tree near the Mill Creek Bridge on Thonotosassa Road, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. The teen reportedly was not wearing a seat belt.

A recent graduate of Plant City High School lost his life early this morning in a single-vehicle car crash near Mill Creek Bridge in Thonotosassa.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Zachary A. Tredway, at around 6 .m. Oct. 8, was driving a 1009 Nissan Sentra eastbound on Thonotosassa Road “when he failed to negotiate a curve near the Mill Creek Bridge, causing him to lose control of his vehicle and strike a tree.”

Tredway, 18, of 3322 Steinbeck Place, Plant City, was pronounced dead at the scene after the arrival of deputies and medical personnel.

It was reported that Tredway was not wearing a seat belt and that next of kin had been notified.

Zachary Allen Tredway is listed as one of some 460 graduates noted in a Tampa Tribune list of graduates for Plant City High School, published on May 31, 2011.
