Hillsborough County's Top Skateboarders to Compete at Brandon Skate Park
The competition begins Saturday, Sept. 17 at 6 p.m.

Fakies, laser flips and boardslides — oh, my!
Hillsborough County’s top skateboarders will compete for the title of best shredder. The skateboarding contest will be from 6-10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17 at the county’s Brandon Skate Park, 5720 Providence Rd., in Riverview. The street-style contest features prizes for first, second and third place and names a "best shredder" in each division.

Brandon Skate Park is the county’s first and largest skate park. The 14,500-square-foot park features quarter pipes, a hand rail, a pyramid, step-up and various granite structures.
Competition is offered in four categories, broken down by age: 8 years old and younger, 9-12 years old, 13-15 years old and 16 years and older.
