Hillsborough Deputies Search For Shoplifting Suspect In Wimauma

The man is suspected of stealing a Hewlett Packard computer and Samsung high-definition television on Oct. 20 from the Walmart in Wimauma​.

TAMPA, FL - Deputies are looking for an unknown, Hispanic male, with arm tattoos and closely cropped hair in connection with a theft of merchandise worth $2,097 and two attempted thefts valued at $846 between October and November of this year, deputies said.

The man is suspected of stealing a Hewlett Packard computer and Samsung high-definition television on Oct. 20 from the Walmart in Wimauma. The man was seen entering the passenger seat of a silver, unknown make and model four-door sedan, according to deputies.

About 4 p.m. on Nov. 17, the same man is suspected of attempting to leave the same Walmart in Wimauma without paying for a $398, 55-inch Philips high-definition television. Store security personnel confronted the man causing him to abandon the property and leave in a black 2006-2010 Ford Edge. Later that evening, the same man was seen at the Walmart, 9205 Gibsonton Drive, trying to leave the store without paying for a 49-inch LG Ultra high-definition television valued at $448. Once again, store personnel challenged the suspect and he fled in a 2006-2010 black Ford Edge with the license tag covered, deputies said.

Anyone with any information in reference to the suspect is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 247-8200.
