Drivers To Take Detour Routes On I-75 Near Apollo Beach Exits For Overnight Project
Hillsborough County road construction crews will have all directions of Interstate-75 closed for a concrete bridge development in December.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — Northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate-75 near the Apollo Beach exits will be closed for construction during the overnight hours Wednesday and Thursday, a Hillsborough County news release said.
Construction crews will pour concrete on a bridge over the interstate between exits 240 and 246 as part of the Paseo al Mar Boulevard construction project, county officials said. The northbound closure will be overnight from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday into Thursday. The southbound closure will occur 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14 through Wednesday, Dec. 15.
Motorists will be detoured around the work zone during the closures using Big Bend Road (County Road 672) at Exit 246, U.S. Highway 301 and Sun City Center Boulevard (SR 674) at Exit 240.
The new overpass will connect residents on either side of I-75 and reduce traffic on Big Bend Road and Sun City Center Boulevard in Apollo Beach, officials said.
