Lithia Pinecrest Road Closing Announced
Motorists will want to take note of an upcoming closing on a stretch of Lithia Pinecrest Road.
BRANDON, FL — Motorists who use Lithia Pinecrest Road to get around will want to avoid the stretch between Bryan and Lumsden roads in the evening hours for about two weeks.
Hillsborough County on Friday announced plans to close Lithia Pinecrest between those two roads nightly from July 30 to Aug. 12 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. The closing is meant to pave the way for road maintenance.
“The closure will impact traffic,” the county wrote in an email to media. “Motorists are encouraged to seek other routes. Those who must drive through the area should observe all barricades, directional signs and detour routes.”

The county said normal traffic patterns will resume after the work is completed.
