Man Stabbed To Death at Plantation Key Apartments in Brandon
Homicide detectives are on the case after the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office responded to a call at about 2:16 a.m. Sept. 17 that a "suspicious man" had been wandering about.

Homicide detectives were on the scene at the Plantation Key Apartments in Brandon to investigate the death of a man found covered in blood and suffering from multiple stab wounds after midnight Sept. 17, according to a report from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the report, deputies arrived on the scene after a citizen called 911 at around 2:16 a.m. to report a suspicious man “wandering the parking lot” of the apartment complex, at 1918 Plantation Key Circle.
“When deputies arrived, they found an adult male in the parking lot covered in blood and suffering from multiple stab wounds,” the report stated. “The victim was flown to Tampa General Hospital, where he later died.”

Detectives this morning secured the victim’s residence and reported the following:
Some time prior to 2:16 a.m., the victim was inside his apartment, an altercation ensued and he was stabbed multiple times.
The victim walked out of his apartment and into the parking lot, where he collapsed.

The next of kin had not yet been notified, according to the sheriff’s report.
