BRANDON, FL — A man was arrested for his role in a non-fatal shooting Monday night at a McDonald’s in Brandon, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Monte Outlaw, 25, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, grand theft in the third degree, and battery, second or subsequent offense.

Outlaw met the victim, Jeremiah Lawson, 18, outside the restaurant at 502 W. Brandon Blvd. around 8:30 p.m. They planned to use the internet and charge their devices at McDonald's, the sheriff’s office said.
