National Surgery Board Recognizes Brandon Hospital For Quality Health Care
HCA Florida Brandon Hospital received three stars out of a three-star rating for its patient outcome in coronary artery bypass surgeries.
BRANDON, FL — HCA Florida Brandon Hospital has earned three stars out of a three-star rating from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) for its patient care and outcomes in isolated coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) procedures, Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce news release said.
The three-star rating, which denotes the highest category of quality, places HCA Florida Brandon Hospital among the elite for heart bypass surgery in the United States and Canada, a news release said.
“At HCA Florida Brandon Hospital, providing safe, high-quality cardiac surgery is the top priority of our cardiac surgery team,” said Bradley Bufkin, MD, cardiothoracic surgery specialist at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital. “We place a premium on performing state-of-the-art cardiac surgery procedures to ensure our patients have the best possible outcomes. We have consistently achieved a three-star rating in coronary artery bypass surgery, the most common type of heart surgery in the United States."
