Man Dies Following Wreck That Caused His Bike To Flip Over In Hillsborough County

The Florida Highway Patrol investigated a fatal wreck Saturday night in Hillsborough County near Interstate 75.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — A Ruskin motorcyclist died Saturday night when his bike flipped over in a crash, and he was thrown off near Interstate 75 Saturday, Florida Highway Patrol said.

A 19-year-old Gibsonton driver's SUV stopped in the left turn lane from U.S. Highway 301 northbound that leads to I-75 at 7:42 p.m., troopers said.

The 36-year-old Ruskin motorcyclist headed southbound on U.S. 301 when the SUV turned in front of the victim onto the highway and crashed into the front of the bike, police said.

As a result of the crash, the motorcycle flipped over throwing the motorcyclist off. He died at the crash location, officers said.

According to investigators, the driver of the SUV didn't experience any injuries.
