Teens, 14 And 17, Charged In Shooting At Park: Hillsborough County Sheriff

DOVER, FL — Three teens were arrested and charged after shooting at someone in Dover Park, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities responded Saturday to the park in the 1300 block of Sydney Dover Road after a caller reported being shot at from a wooded area, police said.

The sheriff’s aviation unit located the trio hiding items in the park and guided deputies on the ground to the teens, who were taken into custody, according to authorities.

Deputies later found three guns and shell casings, police said.

The teens — two 14-year-old boys and a 17-year-old girl — were charged with the following:

• Three counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, firearm discharge;
• Shooting at, within or into a vehicle;
• Discharging a firearm in public or on residential property;
• Armed trespass;
• Loitering or prowling;
• Tampering with evidence;
• Resisting an officer.
