If You're A Victim Of Accused Molestation Suspect, Call The Hillsborough Sheriff's Office

VALRICO, FL — A 62-year-old Valrico man is accused by deputies of molesting numerous girls from 1998 through 2020, a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office news release said.

According to investigators, David Lair was arrested Wednesday on lewd or lascivious molestation (victim under 12) and lewd or lascivious molestation (victim 12-15).

Lair came into contact with the girls after befriending their families, deputies said.

"Our detectives are concerned that there could be other children affected, and we are asking anyone else who may be a victim not to be afraid to come forward and speak out," Sheriff Chad Chronister said. "It's important for parents to be cautious of any adult they entrust to care for their children and to also listen to their children if they say they are uncomfortable around an individual."
