Video Report: In the Huddle With Coach Sean Callahan
After the Hawks' nail-biting 22-20 win over Dwyer, the Armwood coach tells his players, "you're a special group." Armwood faces the Tallahassee-Lincoln Torjans in Orlando on Dec. 18 for the Class 4A state title.
For the fans who were there, the last-seconds' victory of the Armwood High School Hawks in the Class 4A state semifinal Dec. 10 over Palm Beach Gardens Dwyer was a testament to our times. With victory within their grasp, the Hawks found themselves behind by one point with some 19 seconds left on the clock. From having it all to losing it all in a fleeting moment of time. But then came the recovery, with five seconds left to play and senior Darrell "Ash" Dudney, 17, stepping in for his history making 44-yard field goal. This video is from the post-game huddle, where Coach Sean Callahan tells his time, "don't give up on your teammates" and "we're going to Orlando."
