Woman’s Body Found in Palm River Ditch
Breaking: Hillsborough County detectives are investigating the death of a woman found in a ditch Tuesday afternoon.

TAMPA, FL — A person out for a horseback ride in the Palm River area Tuesday afternoon made a grisly discovery. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the person came across the body of a woman in a ditch.
Deputies say the discovery was made around 1:43 p.m. Nov. 1. The “adult white female was discovered in a ditch on the north side of the road just east of the intersection located at 20th Avenue South and 58th Street South,” an email from the sheriff’s office said.
The woman’s body was located about 4 to 5 feet off the road.

“The deceased was fully clothed and preliminary indication is that there is no apparent cause of death,” the email said.
The body is being taken to the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner’s Office. The medial examiner will be tasked with determining cause of death and making a positive identification, the sheriff's office said.
