Woman’s Stabbing Death Under Investigation

PLANT CITY, FL — The Plant City Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing that was reported Monday afternoon.

According to the agency, a 911 call came in around 1:17 p.m. Nov. 28 from the 2700 block of Sammonds Road. When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from “a laceration wound,” an email from the agency said.

The woman, who is only being described as Hispanic, died at the scene, police said. The death has been classified as a homicide at this time.

No further information, including the woman’s name, is available at this time.
