Blick Law Firm Announces Immigration Practice

Blick Law Firm has added Immigration Law to its practice areas, essentially helping immigrants discover pathways to citizenship.

The firm will focus on helping people obtain the proper authorizations to live and work in the United States.

“We’ve heard from clients, associates, and other friends in the community that their family members are living in fear or in hiding,” said Michael Blickensderfer, principal attorney of Blick Law Firm. “Becoming legally authorized to live or work in the United States can feel overwhelming if you haven’t mastered the language or are trying to navigate the process alone. There’s a real – and justified – fear within our immigrant community.”

Blick Law Firm aids immigrants in identifying the appropriate legal status for application, such as work visa, asylum, naturalized citizen, or citizenship. It streamlines processes of applying and filing the myriad of government forms.As part of this, the firm recently launched a dedicated web page focused on immigration law, DontDeportMe.com (and NoMeDeportes.com).

The firm has added two staff members who specialize in Immigration Law. Additionally, a majority of Blick’s paralegals and support staff are fluent in Spanish.

The decision to add Immigration Law as a practice area was personal for the firm’s vice president of operations and development Viviane Blickensderfer (Michael’s wife).

Her family moved from Egypt to New York when she was a young girl. The experience showed her the many risks that immigrants take, and their vulnerability prior to becoming authorized citizens.

The firm recently purchased a two-story, 3,000-square-foot office building that will serve as the firm’s headquarters.

Blick Law Firm will move into its new location at 3812 Gunn Highway in Tampa this summer.
