Hawkins just completed a summer program at Berklee College of Music in Boston and hopes to attend there after graduation. Hazlitt is enrolled in the music program at Tarpon Springs High School and plays vibes (vibraphone) and drums with the Ruth Eckerd Youth Jazz Band. Jazz with Jim is best known for fusing personal stories with popular jazz tunes suited for that month's theme.
In addition to the personal stories, patrons can purchase home baked goods donated by the Center's volunteers, which help complete the intimate ambience. Guest musicians for September 21, October 19 and November 16 have yet to be determined.
