Longtime Massage Therapist Opens Carrollwood Wellness Spa

After working as a massage therapist for 12 years, Donna Confalone knew the time was right for her to open her own business. And, for Confalone, the Carrollwood area was the perfect location for her new wellness spa.

"I chose Carrollwood to plant my roots and grow my business because I fell in love with the strong sense of community and family the people in this area emulate," said Confalone. "We treat each other that way as well as all our clients, so I knew this was a match made in heaven."

Confalone is now celebrating the grand opening of Althea Wellness Spa at 3802 Ehrlich Rd., Suite 303, Tampa, by offering first-time guests 25 percent off any one-hour service.

She chose the name "Althea," because it means "healing," something she's dedicated to providing through her wide range of spa services.

"From an oh-so polished look to a stress-melting massage, our spa services are aimed to have you walking out feeling like a renewed person," she said, adding that she and her fellow service providers are dedicated to giving each client a unique experience.

The spa uses all-natural products made in Florida and offers a variety of massage techniques including craniosacral and lymphatic drainage.

In addition, the spa provides facials, manicures and sugaring -- an all-natural hair removal service.
