The National Humane Society will be hosting a fundraiser this weekend to help raise money for the center, which has been struggling financially since last year. Part of the money will pay for medical costs for a cat named Valentine, who is missing a leg. During the fundraiser, there will be a raffle for a Valentine's Day basket worth $200. The NHS will also be selling its animal carriers and cages, which range in cost from $8 to $80. The event will be held from noon until 4 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 4039 Gunn Highway.
