CLEARWATER, FL — As Pinellas County Sheriff's detectives investigate the Thursday night death of a person in unincorporated Clearwater, the agency is releasing few details in the case. According to the sheriff's office, deputies were called to a home in the 2400 block of Persian Drive around 8:14 p.m. Aug. 17. When they arrived, they found a person dead. The agency's robbery/homicide unit is looking into the case. The name, age and gender of the victim have not been released. Authorities have also not released information about the cause of death.
