Crumbl Cookies Opens 1st Pinellas County Bakery In Clearwater

The cookie bakery that is taking the country by storm has now set up shop in Clearwater.

Crumbl Cookies celebrated its grand opening Oct. 29 to 31 at 2719 Gulf to Bay Blvd., the first Crumbl Cookies in Pinellas County.

The nationwide company also has bakeries at 10963 Causeway Blvd., Suite B, in Brandon, and 25922 Sierra Center Blvd., Lutz.

Crumbl Cookies was founded by cookie-loving cousins Jason McGowan and Sawyer Hemsley.

After developing the perfect cookie recipe, the duo and their family opened Crumbl’s first store in Logan, Utah, in 2017 while Hemsley was attending Utah State University.

The cousins felt it was important for customers see their cookies being mixed, balled, baked and dressed in real time. Equally as important to the cousins was using only high-quality ingredients and immediately recognizable pink packaging.

Crumbl’s boxes are designed to perfectly fit each Crumbl cookie side by side, whether in a four-pack, six-pack or 12-pack box. The unique, oblong-shaped box is the first of its kind and was created by Hemsley and his fellow classmates at Utah State University.

As Crumbl continued to grow, so did their flavor offerings. Starting with Crumbl’s award-winning milk chocolate chip cookie, the chilled pink sugar cookie became a semi-permanent menu item soon after.

Crumbl then introduced its concept of a rotating menu in December 2018 with a series of new flavors including oatmeal chocolate chip muffin, midnight mint, peanut butter muddy buddies and key lime pie.

Since opening its doors, Crumbl has expanded to more than 264 bakeries in 36 states nationwide.

Hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to midnight.
