DUI Arrest Made After Courtney Campbell Crash
A 26-year-old woman faces DUI charges following a Thursday morning wreck on the Courtney Campbell Causeway.

CLEARWATER, FL — The Clearwater Police Department has charged a 26-year-old woman in connection with a Thursday morning crash that sent a man to the hospital in critical condition and forced the closing of the Courtney Campbell Causeway's westbound lanes for five hours.
According to the agency, Lina Marie Paige was driving a 2010 Mercedes westbound around 3:15 a.m. Aug. 17. Police say Paige “slammed into the rear of a work van” that was also heading west. The impact sent the van careening out of control, an email from police said. The van hit a guardrail, flipped and then stopped.
The van’s driver, Gregory Palmer, 52, of Clearwater, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. Paige was medically cleared at a local hospital before being booked into the Pinellas County Jail.
