Four People Rescued from Capsized Boat Near Clearwater Pass
Four people were rescued Sunday after the 21-foot boat they were on capsized near Clearwater Pass, according to the Coast Guard.

Four people were rescued Sunday, May 12, after the 21-foot boat they were on capsized near Clearwater Pass, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
A good Samaritan contacted the Coast Guard Station Sand Key around 5:47 p.m via radio the vessel was seen capsizing, which caused four people to go into the water, officials reported.
A Coast Guard crew and the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene of the capsized boat. The Coast Guard removed one person from the water, the sheriff's office rescued two people and a good Samaritan got another individual out of the water, authorities said.

All four rescued people were taken to the Belleair Boat Ramp with no injuries, officials reported.
The vessel was towed to the boat ramp by Boat US "with no reports of pollution," according to the release.

"All people aboard the vessel were wearing life jackets," said Jason Morris, a search and rescue planner at Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg. "Due to this, we were able to rescue them quickly without the situation deteriorating."
