Girl Arrested For Threatening School Shooting: Pinellas County Sheriff
A 15-year-old girl was arrested for threatening a shooting at East Lake High School, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.
EAST LAKE, FL — A 15-year-old girl who attends East Lake High School was arrested Tuesday for threatening a mass shooting at the school, according to a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Though PCSO identified the teen, it’s unknown whether she is being charged as a juvenile or adult yet. It’s Patch policy to not name minors who are charged as juveniles.
Detectives with the agency’s Threat Management Division arrested the girl after she sent a Snapchat and a group chat message about her school, saying, “Everyone is incompetent imbecile and everyone is getting shot,” the sheriff’s office said.

She admitted to sending the messages, but said she did so jokingly because she was mad that she wasn’t allowed to leave school early, investigators said.
Anyone with information on any threats is asked to notify the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office immediately at (727) 582-6200 or via the FortifyFL app.
