Kitten Stuck Between Block And Hard Place Saved By Clearwater Police
Clearwater police officers spent more than an hour rescuing the kitten that was stuck in engine block of a car.
CLEARWATER, FL — This kitten owes at least one of her nine lives to the Clearwater police.
A Tampa woman visiting the Pinellas County Tax Collector's office on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard was getting into her car when she heard a meowing sound coming from under the hood.
The woman honked her car horn in the hopes that the feline would frighten and flee. As expected, the kitten ran off and right into the engine block of a nearby car, where it became trapped.

Worried that the kitten would be killed when the owner of the other car started the engine, the woman summoned Clearwater police for help.
Clearwater police Officers Medina and Marston spent more than an hour removing the kitten from the car's engine.

The officers then took the female kitten, estimated to be about 12 weeks old, to a local veterinary clinic to get checked out.
