Local Auto Repair Shops Offer Free Oil Changes For Toys

CLEARWATER, FL – A local chain of automotive repair shops is looking to bring a little joy to their customers while spreading holiday cheer to the children of the Tampa Bay area.

Pinellas-based Ice Cold Air Discount Auto Repair is trading free oil changes and tire rotations or $20 in auto repair service to any customer who brings in a new, unwrapped toy for the Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program until Saturday, Dec. 10.

“We are so proud to join the Marines and their exceptional program four our 11th year,” said Tina M. Denham, president of Ice Cold Air Discount Auto Repair. “It is an honor to help facilitate our customers’ support and making positive impacts in the lives of children in our community.

Customers will have the option of trading the new toy for an oil change and tire rotation on the spot or exchanging the toy for a voucher for a free oil change and tire rotation or $20 off any service.

“Our customers and community have been very good to us for more than 40 years, and acting as a drop off location for Toys for Tots is an excellent way for us to give back to the community and our customers for our support,” Denham said.

Last year, the chain’s customers donated approximately 1,700 toys. This year, Denham said she hopes they are able to donate more than 2,000 to Toys for Tots.

“Our loyal customers have a proven history, and I know they are eager to support the program again this year,” she said. “We are asking for even more community members to take advantage of this offer and help us meet our goal.”

Donated toys must be in their original packaging and unwrapped. Donations will be accepted at most of the chain’s 18 locations in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties.
