Update: Teen in Serious Condition After Keene Road Crash

A teen hit by a vehicle as he was walking across Keene Road on Friday afternoon is now listed in serious but stable condition, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

UPDATE (April 13, 6:35 a.m.)

A teen was injured when he was struck by a vehicle while walking across Keene Road Friday afternoon, according to authorities.

The 15-year-old from Clearwater was last listed in serious but stable condition at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, officials report.

An unidentified man was injured when he was struck by a car while walking across Keene Road in Clearwater on Friday afternoon, authorities said.

The pedestrian was transported to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, where he remains in critical condition, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to a media release, the vehicle, driven by Heather Nicole Capps, 30, of Clearwater, had a green light as it traveled north along Keene Road. The pedestrian was walking across Keene Road, reportedly outside of the crosswalk, when he "walked into the path of (the vehicle) just north of Nursery Road and subsequently was struck by the vehicle," according to the report.
