Clearwater Voters Will Sell City Property While Largo Voters Refused
Clearwater and Largo voters were given the option to decide the fate of city-owned properties.
PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — In addition to the winners of the races for U.S. Senate, governor, attorney general and other members of the Florida Cabinet, Pinellas County voters are awaiting for election results for a county commissioner, a 1-cent sales tax and referendums in Clearwater and Largo.
In Clearwater, voters agreed to sell two prime pieces of city-owned property in downtown Clearwater to developers to create a multi-use development intended to launch a revival of downtown Clearwater.
Meanwhile, Largo voters gave a thumbs down to a proposal to sell an 87-acre parcel to a developer.
