Pinellas Reclaimed Water Restrictions Begin Soon
Pinellas County restricts the use of reclaimed water during the traditional dry season.

CLEARWATER, FL – As the temperatures begin to rise in Pinellas County, so does a usual drop in precipitation.
In preparation for the county’s dry season, Pinellas County Utilities has announced that its reclaimed water seasonal restrictions will begin Saturday, April 1. The mandatory restrictions are different for North County and South County reclaimed customers because of the volume difference in reclaimed water that each part of the county produces and the demand on each system.
According to the county, Pinellas County Utilities produces enough reclaimed water on an average day to supply the appropriate amount of needed irrigation for customers. With excessive demand at an all-time high, restrictions continue to be necessary to help provide every reclaimed water customer with an adequate supply and preserve facility infrastructure.
