1. Parking is the Problem, Not Chunky Sunday, Supporters Say

Chunky Sunday gatherings are going to move closer to the MLK Center and away from residents in North Greenwood, which should help some of the parking problems, Police Chief Anthony Holloway said in a report to city leaders.

2. Fire at Nokomis Street House— Again

The 1920s-era Clearwater house that was gutted in a Thursday night blaze was on fire again early Saturday morning. The cause is under investigation.

3. Scaled-Back Hampton Inn Plans Approved For Clearwater Beach

A scaled-back version of plans to renovate one hotel and add a 14-floor Hampton Inn next to it was unanimously approved by city leaders Wednesday. Construction is expected to start in January with an anticipated opening by Spring Break 2015.
