Coconut Grove Parade Honors Veterans

The Coconut Grove parade on Friday was in honor of America's veterans.

COCONUT GROVE, FL β€” People could be seen lining the streets of Coconut Grove before the start of Friday's parade to honor America's veterans. The event began at 11:15 a.m. at the Playhouse parking lot, which is located at 3500 Main Highway in Miami.

Miami Commission Vice Chairman Ken Russell partnered with American Legion Post 182 for the Coconut Grove Veterans Day Parade and Celebration.

"Our community in Coconut Grove and in the city of Miami deserves to have a signature parade to celebrate and honor the lives of our nation's veterans," said Commissioner Russell. "This is a fun event with music and food for the entire family."

Guest speakers and refreshments followed the parade at nearby Elizabeth Verrick Park, 3255 Plaza Street.
