Miami-Dade’s Got Talent Saturday Night
If you're a fan of "America's Got Talent" and shows like it, you won't want to miss the annual Young Talent Big Dreams on Saturday night.

CORAL GABLES, FL – If you’re a fan of “America’s Got Talent” and shows like it, you won’t want to miss the annual Young Talent Big Dreams on Saturday night. Miami-Dade’s most talented kids take over the Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre starting at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $5 and benefit The Children’s Trust.
The eighth annual event was open to kids between the ages of 8-17. One of last year’s winners, Angelina Green, went on to perform for a national audience on “America’s Got Talent.”
Participation in the local competition was free of charge and limited to residents of Miami-Dade County. Judges include local celebrities and professionals from the performing arts community.

“We’re so proud to embark on the eighth year of the Young Talent Big Dreams competition, presented by The Children’s Trust,” explained Barbara S. Stein, executive producing director of Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre.
This year’s competition began on Jan. 21, with preliminary auditions through April 8 at four local theatres.
Each act was allowed up to one minute during the preliminary audition performance and two minutes for the semifinal and final-round performances. There were to be a maximum of nine winners and one grand prize winner chosen during the finals.

The theater is located at 280 Miracle Mile in Coral Gables.
“The level of talent in Miami-Dade is staggering; I’m blown away by these kids every year,” added James R. Haj, president and CEO of The Children’s Trust. “Involvement in the performing arts has such a positive impact.”
