UM Students Warned Of 'Concerning Comments' By Former Employee
University of Miami students have been warned to be on the lookout for a former employee who allegedly made "concerning comments."

CORAL GABLES, FL β University of Miami students have been warned to be on the lookout for a former employee who allegedly made "concerning comments." A community information advisory asked students to contact campus police if they spot Melania Obando, according to a copy of the advisory published by the university newspaper on Wednesday. The Miami Hurricane reported that Obando's comments concerned the Valentine's Day massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
"Obando allegedly said if she had been the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooter, 'they would have never seen her coming.' On another occasion, Obando was allegedly heard whispering, 'When I start shooting everyone I am not going to care who asks for forgiveness, I am going to shoot everyone,'" the school newspaper reported.
"She was questioned about what she had said and repeated herself, " the newspaper said, quoting from a March 30 warning issued by campus police. Obando allegedly made the comments to colleagues on two separate occasions.
