What to Know for New Year's Eve: Saturday, Dec. 31
A source for cab numbers, cover charges and parties.

1) What to wear? Of course, you'll want to dress to impress when you bring in 2012, but you'll also be glad you dressed for warmth. When that ball drops, it's probably going to be in the high 50s, according to the National Weather Service. Brrr!Â
2)Â Most parties will have a cover charge tonight. They range between $10 and $35 (many include a champaign toast at midnight). Might be wise to bring enough cash to get in the door and get a sober ride home (please see, Five Things No. 4 on ways to get home).
3) The at venues citywide until 12:30 a.m. Establishments close at 2 a.m.
