5 Things to Know for Unity Breakfast, March Saturday
Dunedin's annual Unity Breakfast and Diversity March honors the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's dream, and this year officials are commemorating Lorraine Leland.

1) It starts with free breakfast. The public is invited to share the most important meal of the day at the Martin Luther King Jr Recreation Center, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. It includes:
- Reverend Clem Bell, of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, welcoming visitors with prayer.
- An announcement of the winners of Dunedin Library's Youth Leadership Essay contest. This year's theme was “We inhabit a universe that is characterized by diversity.”
- Lois Bell guest speaking.
- A Lorraine Leland dedication.
2) It includes a little exercise. After breakfast, city officials and visitors will march about seven-tenths of a mile from Martin Luther King Jr Recreation Center to Pioneer Park, starting at about 10:30 a.m.
3) It ends with free entertainment. Participants include adult and youth chiors from Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, as well as the Dunedin High School step team, until 12:30 p.m.

4) Multi-tasking is allowed. Dunedin's Green Market will also be in Pioneer Park, so as they say, the more the merrier.
5) Weather should be cooperating. Other than a slight chance of sprinkles after 2 p.m., the National Weather Service predicts partly sunny skies, with a high near 75 and winds northeast at 9 to 11 mph. (Bring a jacket and wear long pants to keep warm in the morning.)
