3) Free pancakes at IHOP today! In celebration of National Pancake Day, IHOP is offering its guests a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes. In exchange, IHOP is asking customers to "pay it forward" with a donation to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Nearest ones are at 30200 U.S. Highway 19 (at Curlew Road) and at 22996 U.S. Highway 19 (at Old Coachman Road).

4) Tomorrow is Leap Day! To mark the day, students at are using their extra day in 2012 to pack 300 lunches for folks at Pinellas Hope, a temporary homeless shelter supported by Catholic Charities Diocese of St. Petersburg.
