Author Finishes Fantasy Series After 10 Years

Jeff Dow's six-book series "Dragon's-Eye Moon" is available for Kindle.

The plot may have taken Jeff Dow the better part of 10 years to write, but he finally finished it.

His six-book fantasy series “Dragon’s-Eye Moon” began in 1999 as an idea to do something slightly different form the average fantasy novel: create a leading female character.

“Way back then, that wasn’t always the case,” Dow said. “I can’t say I’m ahead of my time anymore.”

The story centers on brother-sister Trenil and Aylana, who, banished and seperated by their healer uncle Velonn, learn through a lifetime of trials and self-discovery the hidden evil reasons behind their departure.

Dow, now a Florida Department of Transportation employee by day, wrote for an hour every morning before work. It took 1,600 pages and 12 years to get him to completion. It was released in October.
