City Wants Your Voice In Dunedin Brand

Officials are inviting input on branding in a questionnaire through Aug. 20.

There are so many reasons to love Dunedin. How do you fit it all in a postcard? That's essentially what marketing experts are helping Dunedin figure out.

The city is asking for input in the form of a survey from now through Aug. 20. It's part of a  to establish a unified city branding and marketing strategy.

The survey results will help Wilesmith, a West Palm Beach-based independent advertising company, home in on the four core elements of what makes Dunedin attractive to residents, visitors and businesses — or capture its essence, so to speak.

The important thing for residents to realize, Vice Mayor Ron Barnette said in a recent budget workshop, is that the brand is meant to “represent, not redefine.”

“It’s a road for discovery, not to redefine" Dunedin, he said. It’s "how to best clarify who we are, not who we should be."

Officials say the one-time, 28-question survey should take about 15 minutes. It can be found here, or on the city's landing page.
