Dali Exhibit Includes Dogedin Mural, Resident's Mosaic Arch

Two Dunedin works of art were selected for The Dali Museum's Treasures of Your Town exhibit, which runs through Sept. 9.

Two uniquely Dunedin works of art are the latest treasures on display at The Dali Museum in downtown St. Petersburg.

Photographs of artist Anna Hamilton's and Carol Sackman and Blake White's mosaic arch in the front yard of their Alamo Lane home were among 20 selected for the "Treasures of Your Town" exhibit that runs through Sept. 9.

Tampa Bay area residents were asked to submit photos of their "treasured places" between July 10 and 27.

Winners also included Tampa Bay landmarks such as the Skyway Bridge, the Don Cesar Hotel on St. Pete Beach and Boca Ciega Millenium Park.

Murals for Mutts volunteer Melody Urso, who entered a photo of the Dogedin mural, surprised Anna Hamilton with the news late last week. It was one of 10 selected by judges:

The one I considered a treasure was our doggie wall at Skip's, so I entered the photo ... just for the hell of it. Turns out, the photo was chosen as a runner up and will be on display at The Dali!

Dunedin resident Carol Sackman entered a photo of the front of her Alamo Lane home. In the yard is a colorful, hand-crafted mosaic arch, which . Her photo was one of 10 Peoples' Choice winners.
