Fiddler Starts String Jams in Pioneer Park
Informal gathering of fiddlers and dulcimer players hopes it can grow into something special.
Trina Clickner found her grandfather's old fiddle in the closet one day not long ago.
It had been sitting there for decades, she said.
Now, after a failed attempt to play as a child, she's determined to give her grandfather's fiddle new life.

Clickner, who spends part of the year in Dunedin from Rochester, NY, has showed up downtown every Tuesday at noon for the past month. What Dunedin needs, she said, is a good fiddle jam.
"I found a lot of fun friends met through music," she said on a recent Tuesday near the picnic tables at Pioneer Park.

On this particular day, lap dulcimer player Roxie Smith, who leads the dulcimer group at , joined Clickner at Pioneer Park for about an hour.
The two jammed together for friends and passersby.
Clickner is hoping their informal Tuesday afternoon performance will multiply into a regular-occurring, good ol' fashioned community jam session.
