5 Holiday Things to Do in Dunedin This Weekend
Warm up to the holiday spirit with these five things in Dunedin. We found things to do, ways to donate and a place to buy a tree.

1) If you've been filling up on the cheap ($3.15 cash, regular at the on Broadway), you'll be able to put your savings toward a ticket for the . 2) Bring blankets and lawn chairs to Dunedin's ; it's likely to be chilly along this evening. That's where you'll see the best views of the holiday-decorated boat parade (Santa is rumored to be riding on the last boat!). A tree-lighting ceremony follows the parade and concessions will also be available. Runs 6 to 9 p.m.

3) Leave an unwrapped toy in your mailbox for the annual Toys for Tots drive. Your Postal Service worker is collecting them today for the local U.S. Marine Corps Reserve units. All toys go to underprivileged children for Christmas.

4) Gather up canned items or imperishable food this weekend to drop off at on Monday. The city has decorated the giant tree outside and named it the Giving Tree. Staff is collecting food, money and toys for the Dunedin Giving Tree Food Drive until Dec. 21. Donations may be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
5) You can buy your Christmas tree (or if you prefer, your holiday tree) from the Dunedin Knights of Columbus, the local chapter of a Catholic fraternal order. The group is selling Christmas trees that range in height from 5 to 9 feet and $40 to $76. Magnets and pins that say "Keep Christ in Christmas" are also being sold ($1 to $5) in a lot next to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 2281 State Road 580, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day through the holiday season. Bring cash or check. No credit or debit cards are accepted.
