• Edgewater Drive (Alt 19), for storm pipe work. Use Highland/Patricia avenues as an alternate north-south route to and from Clearwater.
• Downtown: A portion of Highland Avenue (starting at Main Street, near the ) is closed for streetscaping.
• Michigan Boulevard is closed on the east from Wildflower Inn to the recycle center at . Use Palm Boulevard detour for east-west access.

4) celebrates Arthur Guinness Day in a big way today. The downtown pub hosts a Guinness pint-drinking and costume contest from 6 to 10 p.m. Winner of the pint contest gets a $20 bar tab, T-shirt and poster, according to Flanagan's Facebook page. Sláinte! 

5) Officials are expected to pass two biggies at tonight's commission meeting. Dunedin Patch will be there to let you know what happens with:

• An ordinance that temporarily eases restrictions on signs downtown. Merchants would be allowed to advertise on vehicle wraps and table umbrellas while the county unemployment rate is high. Officials hope it will spur business during tough economic times.
• The 2012 Final Proposed Operating and Capital Budget (i.e., a lot of the proposed rates: millage, stormwater, water and wastewater rates and city employee raises).
